When it comes to tropical vacation spots, few evoke the images of white sandy beaches and endless clear waters the way Jamaica does. Well let me tell you, pictures simply don’t do them justice. While the Capitol City of Kingston is fairly large and modern, it keeps much of the charm one would expect of an island nation, with it’s own unique style and culture. The distinct sound of steel drums can be heard from the beach-side bars, drawing small crowds to see the performers. The unique sound of the island has inspired many genres around the world, but none quite as iconic as this. With the music behind me, the white sand in my feet, and the clear ocean in front of me, I can definitely see myself returning here.
