Tuscany

Ahhh… Tuscany. I’m sure you’ve heard of all the wonderful sights you can see in this lovely part of Northern Italy. Everyone and their mom knows about the beautiful landscapes of Florence and the slightly-off-axis buildings of Piza. Forget that! The only thing you really need to know (after you get bored of all the marble columns) is that Tuscany knows how to make a darn good steak.

The classic dish known as bistecca alla fiorentina is a thick-cut slab of t-bone steak made from local maremmana beef and let me tell you, friend… it is to die for. Like all Italian food it comes with a side of pasta, traditionally served with carbonara or amatriciana sauces which both use plenty of bacon. Naturally, I was in heaven.

In summation, Tuscany was great. The sights, the culture, and the people were all top notch and make me want to stay longer but, alas, I am a traveler and a blogger. I must depart. Goodbye, Tuscany. May we meat again!
